Margaret Dumas was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved to Denver, Colorado in
2005. She has three beautiful children, a daughter and two sons. She has 15 years of experience working
in the Early Childhood Education as a teacher and 5 years of experience working in the district. She has
an A. A. in Early Childhood Education. She is currently enrolled in online classes at Northern Arizona
University working towards her B. S. in Early Childhood Education. In Margaret’s free time, she loves
spending time with her children, likes to travel, go to the movies and concerts, and watching football
where she is a huge New Orleans Saints fan! “Go Saints, Who Dat?!”
Maury Moon was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and attended Wheeling Elementary School as a child. She moved to Seoul, South Korea after graduating high school and got her degree in Business Administration and English Language & Literature from Sung Kyun Kwan University. She taught English as a Second Language to students of all ages from preschool to adult English Language Learners in South Korea. After returning to Colorado, she found her true calling in early childhood education and is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education/Special Education Teacher Licensure Program at the University of Colorado at Denver. Maury is certified as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) through Colorado Shines Professional Development Information System (PDIS). This is Maury’s first year at Wheeling and with Aurora Public School District. She is thrilled to be back at Wheeling Elementary School, where she first started her education! In her free time, Maury enjoys spending time with her family, reading books and watching sports – Go Nuggets! Go Broncos! Most of all, she enjoys spending her time with the love of her life, her 3 ½ year old son Tyler.
