Margaret Dumas

Margaret Dumas was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2001, she began her ECE teaching career as a Head Start teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then moved to Denver, Colorado in 2005 and continued teaching as Head Start teacher. She began her career with Aurora Public Schools district in 2014 as an ECE Teacher. This is her third year as a Preschool Teacher at Wheeling Elementary. She is currently in her last year of studying Early Childhood Education at Northern Arizona University where she will obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2022.  She currently has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Director’s Certificate and a Colorado Director’s License.  When she is not in the classroom, she devotes her time to her amazing three children, traveling, and watching football where she is a huge New Orleans Saints fan. “Who Dat?!”

Anastasia Carter was born in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Oklahoma when she was 2 and then returned to Colorado when she was a junior in high school. She graduated from Montbello High School in 2010. In 2017 she started school at the Community College of Denver to pursue getting her Directors Certificate. 

This will be Ananstasia’s second year at Wheeling Elementary and she is so excited to join the pre-school staff. Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with her daughter named Ja’Myah and her two nephews.
