Mahvush Ansar

Mahvush Ansar has moved around but for the past 20 years Colorado has been home for her. She has a Masters in Elementary Education from CU Denver. This is her second year as a Kindergarten teacher at Wheeling. Before teaching at Wheeling, she taught kindergarten at Adams 14 and in Dubai.  Her favorite part of teaching at Wheeling is the community and the school culture.  As an Explorer, she loves exploring different cultures and cuisines through travel and blogging .  When she is not teaching she is spending time travelling, hiking or fishing with her husband and three children.

Krisi Chartier

Krisi Chartier grew up right here in Aurora, Colorado and attended Wheeling as a child.  After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in American History with an emphasis in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education, she returned to Wheeling to teach 4th grade.  Fast forward 16 years, she has taught 2nd, 3rd and now is happy to have found her calling as a Kindergarten teacher.  Krisi loves that she gets to pass along her love of learning to her students and seeing the growth her young students make in one year is amazing!  Outside of school, Krisi enjoys reading, listening to music, getting away to the mountains, and most of all spending time with her husband and their three children, Elliana (7), Adilyn (5), and Reese (1),

Daisy Luevanos

My name is Daisy Luevanos and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Wheeling. I always knew I wanted to become a teacher and I am now living the dream. I love watching students grow and I am determined to help students reach their goals. It is extremely rewarding watching students learn each and every day.  I have two boys of my own; one is 2 and one is 8 years old. I love spending time with my family and being outdoors (when the weather is decent)! I enjoy going on hikes and being surrounded by the beautiful mountains. I also love reading and learning! I show my students that I am a lifelong learner and hope they are too!
